Mechanical and Hydraulic Operation Horizontal Pivoting Horizontal Slide Clamping
The Flash-Butt Welding process produces a forge-type butt weld between two metal
pieces of similar section shape. It is used to join ends of rods, bars, strips, rings, tubes, forgings and fittings.
Type B-3 and B-5 butt welders are designed for flash welding ferrous and non-ferrous
materials. B-3 welders are furnished with pneumatic horizontally pivoting clamps, and are available with a pneumatic upsetting mechanism.
B-5 welders are furnished with hand or pneumatic horizontally
pivoting clamps or as an alternative, pneumatic horizontal slide clamps. They are manufactured with motor driven or pneumatic/hydraulic upsetting mechanisms.
